This weekend
I'm heading over to Upper Arroyo Seco.
This is a hike through the Upper Arroyo Seco starting at the Switzer Campground area. We will also stop at Switzer Falls (and cut off some miles from the other part). The original planned hike (from the link) follows the Gabrielino trail to Oakwilde Campground and back, which would be 10 miles. I believe there are some waterfalls before the campground, maybe a mile less, so if we just hike to this point, it would be 4 miles one way.
After coming back we will hit the trail junction with the Bear Canyon Trail, and continue on it and turn up to Switzer Falls. This should only add about 2 miles, so we should still be around 10 miles total.

Elevation Gain: ~ 1500 ft
Gain / Mile: 300 ft / mile
Estimated Time: ~ 5 hrs
Difficulty: 5/10 Moderate
